Looking to start investing? Or maybe looking for a new bank? Check out Weiss Financial Ratings through the library!

Weiss has a wide variety of tools from stocks to consumer ratings. They also have articles and eBooks to look through for tips on investing and planning for the future.

At the top of the home page, you can use the drop-down menus to browse through some of the tools available. First, you can look into everything about Weiss. A great page under the menu is their video library. There are videos for each section of their site, plus videos about Medicare and investing. Other headers include their financial literacy tools, investment ratings, and safety ratings (where you can look up the ratings of banks). Also at the top of the homepage, you will find a search feature. This can be helpful if you're looking for a specific bank.

The summary will give the rating (as you can see Huntington has a B-) plus give a breakdown on the rating. Another cool feature is the comparison tab if you want to compare banks you're looking into. Or, if you want to compare a particular bank to the industry as a whole, there is a tab for that as well.

There are a ton of features on the site, all free through the library. The best way to find what you need is to just play around on the site or watching their tutorials. Don't forget to create your own account to keep track of any stocks you're following or to be notified of downgrades or upgrades.
