Danbury 5th Grade Students Interview Otterbein Residents

Students in Mrs. Sampson's 5th Grade class at Danbury Elementary are reading the book Restart by Gordon Korman and were in need of a writing project. Mrs. Sampson reached out to our Marblehead branch manager, Dave Kimmel, to find ways to work together on the writing project. Inspired by the main character of the book, a young boy who gets into trouble and has to do some community service, they came up with the idea to have students interview the residents of Otterbein Marblehead Retirement Home. It's a great way for the students to make connections and learn about others, bridging the generation gap.
